A kitchy place, true Road Side America but with a twist, more than just a "Palace" covered in corn it's actually usable, unlike the Worlds Largest Ball of Twine. LOL
Pretty unique artistry with cobs of corn and such that's redone every year.
Mitchell however, in my opinion and what we saw of it, is a town trying hard but not quite getting there. The best place about it other than the Corn Palace was the throw back fine dining establishment we went to last night. FANTASTIC atmosphere, FABULOUS food. Class act that we haven't seen in awhile.
Coming upon Chamberland was a quite the little oasis in the "vastness of flatness". Lol
Would have been interested in nosing around there a little had we more time but WALL DRUG awaits, another Road Side America to tap into.
*Side Note
We stopped just before Chamberland for a potty break, Mike went into the "Casino" that was there, complete with a grand total of SIX yes you read that right, 6 machines! YA BABY! He dropped in a buck and came outta there a WINNER!!! Yep, my baby won $2.50!!!!
Ha ha ha ha
Gotta Love it!
